The Beginning

There comes a time in a guy's life when he must work...he must work the M-F gig; this includes late nights at the office and some weekends you'd rather be spending passed out. The only thing that can make such a life worth living is to take the times you don't have to work and make the most of them. I'm not talking about going to the Natural History Museum or catching up on the new Oprah book of the month. I'm talking about going back to your roots. In this case, good ol' fashion debauchery. This usually implies some for of inebriation but not always. This is the life we lead. The life of a weekend warrior.
It all started back in May. There were only two of us then. B (names simplified for mystery reasons) and I moved in and had one hell of a weekend. Not much sleep was had and my body was less than happy with me after all was said and done.
As the summer continued, I began my real life career while Bucket began working an internship in architecture. Our friends D and R began visiting us at our new pad quite often and they decided to move into the same building. Around the same time, our third roommate arrived. Biff had been in Amsterdam for the previous semester and it was nice to have him back. B, Biff and I had all been really good friends for several years. We were all members of the same fraternity, Biff and were in a band along with D, R was the homie and B and I were from the same hometown area. It was our entourage. Our crew.
As the summer moved on, we realized we had all began to sink into a routine. Not necessarily a bad one either. We all worked full time during the week but we still had that, "Let's get into some crazy situation" attitude about us. I'm sure many who read this will think big deal. I do that too. Maybe so...but not like this.
There are too many details to get into right now and way too many stories. We're starting this late but from here on out, our stories will be documented. Our failures will be constantly brought up for humility reasons, our victories brought up for celebration reasons. But most of all, we will begin bringing the ideas together that a weekend warrior possesses. At least the ones we think up.
By this I mean, we plan on producing content. Fun vids, crazy adventures, ridiculous stories and hopefully we generate a few laughs. Basically it's us, probably under the influence, creating content we feel connected to.
Our YouTube channel can be found at http://www.youtube.com/BGKNIFE
(BG Knife is my account; the channel is Weekend Warriors).
Enjoy and there will be more to come.
